POL3094

POL3094 was an eye-opening experience for me both as a student and as a person, especially since I had never taken a Political Science course before. This course constantly challenged me and pushed me to think in new ways, develop new thinking methods, and it taught me how to stay updated on important things going on globally. Each week we covered a new topic related to Fascism. Lectures were paired with readings and case studies presented by students. Initially, I was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of reading, but I found myself enjoying them more and more as the semester went on. Class discussions following lectures and student presentations allowed me to engage with my classmates and understand the content on a deeper level. I was tasked with many assignments over the semester, but I’ve chosen to showcase part of my final project which was an in-depth research project on the events leading up to, during, and following the Holocaust. I was careful to get my information from mainly primary sources and to understand the seriousness of the topic at hand. The information I gathered was put into a presentation in hopes that it would be easier to digest. This project helped me understand the severity of the events and helped me understand the order in which they unfolded. Below are a few slides with some of the information read aloud during my presentation.
